Nikolaos Farmakidis

My research sits at the interface between optics, electronics and materials. We work on the development of nanoscale opto-electronic devices and integrate them with active materials. We design, fabricate and experimentally demonstrate systems that show improved performance and enhanced functionalities in a range of applications including neuromprphic computing, data storage and sensing.
